Home Studio Tour | How I Track Drums From Home

Lesson

I’m new to the home studio game. My wife and I have been in out current house for about a year, and ever since moving it has been a growing experience with my personal studio. Microphone purchases, speaker purchases, XLR cables, sound treatment…it is a black hole of time and money.

As most of you know, I’m not a ‘gear guy’, it just isn’t my thing. But when you start to put together a home studio, you kind of need to become gear human. The more I learn, the easier gets, and the more I like it. So, I hope this video helps you on your quest, as mine is just beginning.

The videos walks you through exactly what I do when someone sends me a track (or 6) to play drums on. I walk you through putting the song into your DAW and take you all the way through bouncing the files out and organizing them to be emailed back to the engineer.
